He regularly serves as a keynote speaker and panellist, sharing his valuable insights and expertise on future trends, strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, and sustainability with audiences. He is a recognized innovator, having received the prestigious Top 50 Government Innovators award and a global CCISO Hall of Fame Runner-Up award in 2023.
Matt currently serves on the Hydro Ottawa and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute boards and volunteers as a CPA/CMA panel member. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the CCISO Award at the 2020 CISO Forum Canada for his outstanding contributions to cybersecurity in Canada.
Matt is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and has completed Executive Education Programs at the Tuck School of Business and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has also obtained the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight program from Carnegie Mellon University and more recently a certificate in Sustainability Leadership from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
